How to Get from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport to the City
The Hyderabad Metro Rail does not reach the airport itself. Use a taxi or bus to reach the nearest metro station, then continue by metro.
Travel Tips
- The airport is at Shamshabad, about 25 to 35 km from most city areas. There is no metro station at or near the airport.
- TGSRTC Pushpak AC buses leave from the bus bay at Arrivals. Check the route board for the stop nearest your hotel or a metro station.
- For HITEC City and Gachibowli, a cab via the Outer Ring Road is usually the quickest option.
- For Secunderabad and the eastern side of the city, the Pushpak bus to the Secunderabad area puts you near the Blue and Green lines.
- App cabs pick up from marked zones in the parking area. Follow the signs from Arrivals.
